Dear Parents and Families,
My name is Daniel Arias Vivas. I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and express my excitement about working with your children this upcoming year. I love teaching young children infants/toddlers, and preschoolers because I care deeply about children’s developmental skills. I believe children learn best by playing, interacting, and having fun learning through hands on experiences.
Before becoming a teacher at Green Moon, I attended Norwalk Community College in where I obtained my Associates Degree on Liberal Arts and General studies. I have been working with infants/toddlers, and preschoolers going on my fourth year. I concluded my studies at the Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors in Spanish with a concentration on Child Development on May 2017 . During my time as a teacher, I learned and absorbed many different strategies that can be used with the children in order to expand their developmental skills. I have many creative ideas and fun learning experience plans that are developmentally appropriate for the children to expand their knowledge.
My philosophy on working with young children is that they learn from play. I like to use “teachable moments,” where the children learn through interaction. I do base my curriculum in the children’s interest. In our classroom, we will be very busy with lots of hands on experiences and learning to develop the project approach. I believe teaching is such an incredibly important profession and I am glad to be part of it.
I look forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, learning experience for your child. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org, I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
See you this coming Fall 2017.
